Yashad Bhasma is a type of Ayurvedic medicine made from zinc. It is also called Jasad Bhasma or Zinc Oxide Calx.It is often used to treat many health problems like skin issues, breathing problems, stomach troubles, and eye ailments.
In Ayurveda, Yashad Bhasma is used to bring a cooling and balancing effect on the body. It is usually used as a powder or as a part of different Ayurvedic products.
Yashad Bhasma is prepared mostly from zinc. However, when you make Yashad Bhasma, certain plants or minerals can also be used to make it pure or better for treating illnesses or any kind of health problem.
Purification: Before using raw zinc, it goes through different processes to get rid of any unwanted substances and dirt. This might include cleaning, soaking, or doing other ways to make something pure.
Calcination: The cleaned zinc is carefully heated to a high temperature in a controlled setting. This process requires heating zinc until it becomes a liquid and turns into gas. Then, the gas is gathered and left to cool down and turn into tiny pieces.
Grinding: Once the solid particles are collected from the condensation process, they are crushed into a very fine powder using tools like a mortar and pestle or other equipment that works well for this.
Repeated Calcination: The zinc powder is heated repeatedly in a process called calcination. In each cycle, the powder is heated at certain temperatures and for certain amounts of time to make sure it is completely changed and made pure.
Cooling and Sieving: After the final heating, the bhasma is given time to become cooler and then it is separated by using a sieve. Then it is filtered to get the same size particles and remove any big particles.
You should typically take between 30-125 mg of Yashad Bhasma once or twice a day. It is usually given with honey, ghee, or water after eating.
